We hope you and yours had a great Thanksgiving. We celebrated with family and friends cooking in a 1700's style colonial kitchen that Scott's parents build with their own hands and stocked with antique cookware they've collected for years. We enjoy the kitchen every chance we get, and the few kitchen utensils that aren't antiques were hand-forged by Scott.
The prize of the collection is a 300 year old reflector oven.
The centerpiece of the meal was a rib-eye roast.
Inside the kitchen
Hurricane Fran hit NC hard in 1996 downing a lot of trees on their
property, so Ralph and Peggy bought a portable sawmill and "made
lemonade out of lemons".
Cooked to perfection and carved with a Guinea Hog Forge blade.
It wouldn't be Thanksgiving without sweet potato pie.
Happy Holidays from our family to yours.
